'A Town like Bassett'. Wootton Bassett has been in the news of late because of the repatriation of troops from conflicts abroad. Wootton Bassett is steeped in history and is one very few Towns in the UK to still have a wealth of independent shops such as wool shops, local butchers, haberdashers, ancient pubs.

I am planning an exhibition to be hosted in Wootton Bassett about local people and also about the commitment shown by the Towns people who honour the service men and women who are repatriated through the Town from RAF Lyneham.
